Demons are part of the spiritual reality of the our Creator, its supernatural realm and generally reflecting the underworld of the God’s overworld. They are also part of our world. God allows demons to tempt us as their ordinary function, which has been going on since the dawn of man I have to assume. When they want permission from God to do more than tempt us they generally need our permission first. We give permission by inviting a deeper relationship with them, sometimes through experimentation or through trauma that is generated through generational pain. It can also manifest through inflicting harm against others and perhaps themselves. There are exceptions when God allows an extraordinary Demonic trial without our permission but it’s limited in its scope. We see this in the book of Job and the lives of some of the Saints. It is important to know that both Fallen and Holy Angels have the supernatural ability to also transform into the bodily form of a human being to complete their various plans or goals. They can also appear externally in homes and outside of a human beings form to achieve their evil objectives.
Demons usually start with a con game. They are the consummate hustlers. They may pretend to be a deceased loved one, a holy angel, the spirit of a child in distress or a friendly guide. After they lure a person into communication-connection they usually offer access to success, power, money, protection or something the person thinks they need-mainly information that is otherwise out of reach. It always starts with the knowledge from what I have seen. This is why I am careful and always work with the Angelic in my sessions.
Later on when the person is in deep demons stop acting like a harmless servants and start dictating what the person can and cannot do. As the relationship deepens it becomes pure torture with the only out proposed either possession or the exit of life on earth. Demons never give what they promise, kind of like an unfaithful spouse and it’s all taken away once the person is in too deep to back out on their own.
The person usually has invited the relationship because they don’t know it’s a demon. Some folks are born into Satanist families, they know it’s a demon and they want it. The person who has been conned can usually back out and repent if things have not gone far. Once it becomes oppression—think of that like an abusive person who controls someone through fear and suffering—it may be hard to get out on your own. With possession it almost always requires the rite of solemn exorcism. This is known as an imprecatory prayer or a direct command to the demonic to leave.
One of the most common “original entry points” for many demonic spirits is early childhood trauma. While severe trauma doesn’t necessarily lead to possession it can lead to influences and attachments through that wound, particularly if it’s sexual in nature. It is often thought that emotional wounds can lead to poor choices which can become habitual and can expose someone to evil forces. The deception of the demonic is to hide in these wounded feelings and the distorted self seemingly integral and necessary while formenting more harm. Only the Devil can hold on to unforgiveness as strongly as he can hold on to the individual.
I do not write about this lightly. Our family endured a very frightening haunting that contained these elements and it pushed me to the ends of my soul. We will not be the last to encounter these creatures as there are armies of these beings on Earth. Be careful out there and try and love one another and yourself.
