The eighth chakra, otherwise known as The Soul Star is a powerful energy center and channel located beyond our physical body. It’s the primary vortexual gateway to the spiritual realm and our connection point to the Divine essence of our Universe. As the name suggests it contains the template of your unique soul’s journey and holds the key to accessing your true purpose as an infinite being. When this hidden chakra is activated  a profound sense of unity and interconnectedness with all there is.

The 8th light body is what controls our breath and takes in the Pranic energy which is the vital life force that energizes the mind, body and consciousness. When you breathe you are feeding your Pranic body. When the Pranic body is weak the person may manifest as low vitality, fatigue, stress, anxiety, fears and depression. A strong Pranic body increases energy, fearlessness, prosperity and self-healing. Pranic energy is needed for the ascension of the soul and for life itself. The light body also controls the process of death. Keeping this auric field strong can contribute to a long life span .A strong auric body sustains the health of the Pranic body. And it is the health of the Pranic body that allows the auric body to emanate out as a magnificent force field to be reckoned with. The two together keep our physical body and immune system strong and allow us to walk and work fearlessly as who we are.

The 8th chakra is located about a foot (12 inches or 304.8 millimeters) above the head.  Some say it is closer to the body, while others locate it about three feet (one meter) off, above and around the body. It lies above the crown or 7th Chakra and is the uppermost chakra, hovering direct above the head.

Our 8th Chakra is the fusion of the spiritual dualism of life on earth (us as apparent and distinct individuals) with a spiritual oneness whereby we recognize that there is no separate self, but rather only one universal consciousness. Because of its unique position the 8th chakra is our connection to our higher self. Our higher self is what some would refer to as our real self or our true self. It’s the part of us unencumbered by our incarnated physical three dimensional incarnation. This incarnate experience is defined by our thoughts, emotions, behaviors, decisions and our sense that we are somehow separate from  our unfolding universe. It is unconstrained by our earthbound physiological experience of what is commonly understood as our earthly reality. The soul star or 8th Chakra on the other hand has perfect clarity on both sides, from the earthly existence with all of its limitations and the fathomless universal field.

The frequency of the 8th Chakra is 1074 Hz. The color associated with it is a variation of golden white. This is why it’s often symbolized by a radiant star of bright white, a sunburst, or a halo of light. Another common symbol is a white or golden lotus flower with thousands of petals, radiating pure spiritual energy. It is also recorded as the chakra that holds your electromagnetic field connected to the highest self and our direct connection to soul and spirit.

Our aura is our projective medium. It projects outward what is going on in the interior. And because the health of our aura reflects the health of our inner world, what we feed our inner world matters: our thoughts, what we consume, our perception and our  depth. These choices affect how we resonate at the cellular level and our resonance affects our aura.

Because the 8th Chakra is the point of transformation it is sometimes considered the seed and origin of the seven lower chakras that relate to us as an incarnated entity. The 8th chakra’s energy and influence are infused throughout all our energy bodies, and, therefore, throughout our entire existence. It is the great facilitator and communicator for the soul and our present and nearest lifetimes.
